About

If you’ve been thinking you don’t have a creative side, think again…

Because that’s what I used to think about myself. After spending over a decade in finance I finally found my “creative side” with flowers.

So now instead of counting numbers, my days’ work is spent assisting you to translate your story, your message and your vision through flowers, whether it’s the floral design of your wedding or sending a meaningful gift of flowers to a loved one.

I’m Nyoka Coetzee, creator and owner of Wild Leaves Floral Design. What started out as a mission to find my creative side has led to a career in floristry!

I spent hours and hours scouring google for a suitable hobby and realised that I like the idea of playing with flowers. So off I went to flower school and within the first couple of hours, I had no doubt that I wanted to be a florist. I soon realised that I not only have a passion for flowers but for learning about floristry as a whole. Technique and basic skills are just as important to me as the final flower arrangement that leaves my studio.

It’s with this same passion that I create floral designs for weddings and events.  From conceptualising the vision to executing the dream - it’s a journey I love taking with each couple that I meet. I truly believe that flowers have the most magnificent effect on people and being able to use flowers to translate a couples love story on their wedding day is what it’s all about for me.

I’m a wedding florist because,

after hearing so many stories of brides that wish they had done this or that differently, especially when it came to selecting their suppliers I realised it’s hard for couples to find someone that connects with them personally.

I want to be the florist that really captures the essence of your wedding by creating an atmosphere that is unforgettable for you and your guests.

There’s so much more I would love to say, but I think you’d probably prefer to scroll through my portfolio and let the pictures speak for itself…

Enjoy your visit to my website and thanks for stopping by to learn more about me!

Love, Nyoka
